How long have these Apps been available?

We started working on these Web Apps in March, 2010. We went live on the Internet on June 2, 2010 with 30 Apps.

These are the first Canadian Law Apps in Canada.

 

Can I buy these Apps at the Apple iStore?

No, you can only buy these Law Apps through our site. These apps are Web Apps and not Native Apps as are found on the Apple iStore. There are advantages and disadvantages for each of Web Apps and Native Apps.

We decided to develop Web Apps rather than native apps because Web Apps work with all the major cell phones such as the Newer BlackBerries (eg Torch and Bold 9700) and the Google Android phones as well as the iPhone.

 

How is it possible to have the Law Apps work when there is no WiFi or Internet access?

We have programmed the Web Apps to be stored on the cache memory of your iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad. If you are going into an important meeting where there is no WiFi or Internet access we suggest you do the following so you can be sure your App will be available:

  • Clear your device's cache;

  • Load the App by clicking on the clipicon on your Home Screen.

 

What do I do if I find a bug?

If you find a bug email us and we'll fix it.

 

How will I get updates you make to fix bugs or make other enhancements?

Changes we make to fix bugs or any other enhancements will automatically be available to you. We have programmed the Web Apps so that when you load it from your Home Screen it will automatically check to see if it has the latest version. If it doesn't the latest version will be uploaded to the App. The next time you start the App the updates will be available.

 

Can I try out the App before I buy it?

Yes, you can try out one of our Law Apps before you buy. Please go to this link for your test drive.

 

I have an iPhone, iPod and the iPad. May I load the Apps I purchase to all three devices?

Your licence only allows the app you purchased to be used by you. You are allowed to use the app on multiple devices. When you get your access link email it to an email address on the device on which you want the app loaded.

Note: You must do this within 24 hours of receiving the link as it expires after 24 hours.
