Environmental
law overlaps with many other disciplines such as economics, political
science, and ecology.
Environmental regulation addresses
issues such as air, water and noise pollution and deals with issues arising
out of waste management, sustainable development, planning and development,
environmental prosecutions and defences, and liability of officers and
directors.
In Canada, various levels of
government share the constitutional authority over the regulation and
management of the environment.
